Steve Samuelian - Owner

California Consulting, LLC Owner Steve Samuelian has held various leadership posts during a career spanning almost 25 years.

Mr. Samuelian began as a volunteer for the Reagan for President campaign in 1984 at the age of 14. He was the founder and President of the Arcadia Young Republicans during his high school and college years.

In 1988 Samuelian was appointed as the State Youth Chairman for the Bush for President campaign responsible for managing all youth operations in California for the campaign.

At the age of 18 he was appointed to the Republican State Central Committee and later to the California Republican Party Executive Committee where he served for 8 years.

An honors graduate of California State Polytechnic University at Pomona with a degree in Political Science he served as the Executive Director of the California College Republicans for 4 years managing California college and university campuses for the GOP. Later, he went on to become the Co-Founder of the Young Republican Federation of California (YRFC). Serving for several years as Political Director of the YRFC he oversaw political campaigns statewide for the organization. He was later honored with the YRFC "Founders Award."

In January 1995 Samuelian was appointed as Field Director for U.S. Congressman George Radanovich (R-Fresno). He later was promoted to District Director overseeing the 19th Congressional District Office staff and District operations for the Congressman. Samuelian managed Congressman Radanovich's District Office for 8 years. During his tenure with the Congressman he organized the logistics, advance work, and set up visits to the San Joaquin Valley from President George W. Bush, U.S. Senator Bob Dole, Elizabeth Dole, U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Newt Gingrich, and several other leading policymakers.

Actively involved in the Fresno community Samuelian served on the Board of Directors of Fresno Area Crimestoppers, as well as the Clovis Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He Chaired the Fresno County United Way fundraising campaign and was honored with the United Way's "Outstanding Achievement" award for his service on the Board of Directors and to the organization.

Samuelian founded the Fresno County Young Republican Federation and was later honored with the "Fresno YRFC Founders Award." While serving the Fresno GOP he was the master of ceremonies and guest speaker for various Republican events up and down the San Joaquin Valley during an 8 year span.

In 2000 Samuelian was appointed as the Bush-Cheney Co-Chairman for five San Joaquin Valley Counties.

Actively involved in assisting valley veterans Samuelian has received the following awards from veterans organizations: Central California Veterans Home Support Foundation, U.S. Merchant Marines Fresno Chapter, U.S. Marine Corps. League Fresno Chapter, Clovis American Legion Post 147 Outstanding Achievement Award, and the Fresno Veterans Day Parade Committee Achievement Award.

A tireless worker for Armenian-American issues nationwide Samuelian has twice travelled to Armenia. His first journey was as an international election observer as part of the Official Organization of Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) delegation to observe the adoption of Armenia's first Constitution. His election observation report was later filed in the U.S. Congress Congressional Record. Samuelian's second trip to Armenia was with Congressman Radanovich as the Radanovich led delegation met with several high ranking Armenian elected officials and visited many historic sites. In addition to serving as the keynote speaker at Armenian-American events from Las Vegas to San Francisco to Los Angeles he has been honored two times with "Outstanding Achievement" awards from the Armenian National Central California chapter and the Armenian National Committee Western U.S. for his work on behalf of Armenian-American issues and causes.

In 2002 Samuelian was elected to the California State Assembly representing the 29th Assembly District. He was quickly appointed to the influential Assembly Appropriations Committee by the Speaker and due to his background in elections and campaigns he was selected to serve as the Vice-Chairman of the Assembly Elections and Redistricting Committee.

While in the Assembly Samuelian authored legislation to assist firefighters and to name parts of central valley highways after fallen police officers. He was honored for his work to assist the valley's broad and diverse ethnic groups in the Legislature. The Fresno "Sikh" community awarded him the their highest honor the "Seropa" award on the occasion of Khalsa. The Hmong community and the Lao Veterans of American honored him with their "Outstanding Achievement" award.

Known for his hard work ethic and ability to work across party lines Samuelian is currently the owner of California Consulting, LLC. The company works to generate much needed funds for public and non-profit agencies across California. Thus far, California Consulting has an impressive client list of more than 40 clients and has already secured over $50 million in competitive grant monies for its clients. Working with leaders from both parties the company has developed a reputation for excellence, diligence, and a work ethic that is unsurpassed in the industry.

Samuelian is married and has two young children.
