Matthew Kamm began writing grants professionally in 2013 after serving as a development intern at the Midnight Mission. For four years, he worked for a development consulting company where he focused on securing funding for non-profits including a youth development organization and a mental health service provider. He then transitioned to an organization that serves families experiencing homelessness where he helped this organization grow to meet the rising demand for services before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Matt has raised millions of dollars in public and private grants, including awards from many major foundations in the greater Los Angeles area.
When not writing grants, Matt’s generally writing stories and plays and is proud to help run an organization that assists playwrights in developing their work. He is a Los Angeles native and attended Cornell University where he studied Hotel Management and English.
